Please join us in Prayer as we mourn the losses of two SMG Sisters – Madeline Griffin and Mary Thomas More.
Throughout her 54 year as an SMG Sister Madeline Griffin shaped the lives of countless individuals entrusted to her care. As a Primary School Teacher she helped form minds, spirits and characters. The much loved educator and community member died on Christmas Day in Maryfield Nursing Home in Chapelizod, Dublin. RIP.
Sister M. Thomas More, formally known as Lillian More, joined the SMG Sisters in 1936. Two of the many talents Sister brought to the Congregation was needle work and music. Her skills with the needle have graced many an altar and vestments, not to mention her dexterity in creating a well cut, stylish dress or a habit. Sister Tomas leaves us with warm memories and grateful hearts. She died in Taylorville, 311 Edge Lane, Liverpool. RIP.
SMG Sisters General Chapter June 18th – July 4th 2012
Please remember us in Prayer as we prepare for our Chapter. The Chapter takes place every five years.
The Chapter logo was designed by Sr. Mary Stephen Canonesses of the Holy Sepulchre, and beautifully depicts the theme – Finding God in All Things.
We see it as life-giving vibrant, inspiring and creative. It invites us to Remember, Reclaim and Respond Anew as we find God in the ordinary circumstances of our everyday lives.
Thank you for your prayers and support.
