Thought for the Day
from Frances Taylor

"Our Lady says this to you today: Ask for the grace to understand Our Lord better and his way of dealing with you – especially his patience with you, and his constant love."

We ask Our Lady to help us to follow her advice today.

Welcome to our website

We invite you to journey with us and find out more about the Poor Servants of the Mother of God.

We are an international congregation of Catholic Sisters founded officially in 1872 by Frances Taylor. We continue her vision through our work in a wide range of ministries and services.

In the UK we run homes for older people and people with learning disabilities through our Frances Taylor Foundation services.

SMG blog In the UK and Ireland we are involved in many projects including those for migrants and refugees, homeless people, prisoners, addiction support, and pastoral care. We work in education and social care. We run retreat and spirituality centres and we are active in many outreach projects.

In Kenya we run dispensaries and clinics bringing healthcare to those most in need. We empower women and children through education and family support.

In the USA our continuing care project has a Catholic ethos and allows older people to live independent, semi-independent and supported lives and all within the same retirement village.

Discover more about us, our life, our work, our mission – as you journey through our website.
