Thought for the Day
from Frances Taylor
Feast of Regina Prophetarum
"'We had the blessing of our new Shrine of Regina Prophetarum in our Church in Rome today. The Holy Father wished people to come here to pray to Mary for the conversion of England'. Have we not reason to be saying a perpetual Magnificat to our gracious Lady and Queen, and most dear Mother?"
- Letter of Mother Magdalen, 1895
Join in this prayer today for the peoples of the British Isles, that Our Lady may protect and guide them.
Welcome to our website
We invite you to journey with us and find out more about the Poor Servants of the Mother of God.
We are an international congregation of Catholic Sisters founded officially in 1872 by Frances Taylor. We continue her vision through our work in a wide range of ministries and services.
In the UK we run homes for older people and people with learning disabilities through our Frances Taylor Foundation services.
In the UK and Ireland we are involved in many projects including those for migrants and refugees, homeless people, prisoners, addiction support, and pastoral care. We work in education and social care. We run retreat and spirituality centres and we are active in many outreach projects.
In Kenya we run dispensaries and clinics bringing healthcare to those most in need. We empower women and children through education and family support.
In the USA our continuing care project has a Catholic ethos and allows older people to live independent, semi-independent and supported lives and all within the same retirement village.
